David Katz is a seasoned Wealth Management Advisor who provides comprehensive financial guidance to his clients. He specializes in business planning, estate planning, fee-based planning, and investments. Through a holistic planning approach, David and his team match their clients' needs with innovative solutions utilizing world-class insurance services and internationally recognized investment products. David believes in long-term relationships with his clients and works hard to cultivate those relationships by building a foundation of trust, integrity, and the same level of ethical service he would expect for himself and his family.
With over 25 years of experience and the extensive resources of the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company, David has partnered with successful business owners and affluent families to help steer them toward financial success. He frequently collaborates with fellow advisors to educateclients on wealth management strategies and solutions.
David Katz resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Beverly, and three daughters, Emily, Camille, and Julia. David is a devoted University of Alabama football fan. Roll Tide!
David earned his business degree from California State Polytechnic University – Pomona, where he played Division II Men's College Tennis. He continues to play recreationally at the various Country Clubs he belongs to, including the Jonathan Club, Oakmont Country Club, and the Altadena Country Club. He is also an competitive golfer and can often be found on the course with his clients and friends.

Our Annuity Specialist provides expertise in helping clients create an approach for financial security in retirement utilizing both wealth accumulation and retirement income strategies.
David specializes in providing strategic, comprehensive advice in order to help successful attorneys, physicians, business owners and affluent families meet their financial goals. He prides himself on helping clients develop a long term vision and implementing plans that turn those goals into reality.
David joined Northwestern Mutual as an intern in February 1997 while he was attending UCLA. What originally started as a simple resume-builder for law school has turned into a nearly 20 year successful financial planning practice. Over time, David has seen clients faced with increasingly complex and evolving financial circumstances. He believes those issues are best solved through a combination of rigorous financial analysis, industry leading solutions, and a relationship-based focus on the psychology that leads to good planning. His favorite part of the business includes watching his long-term clients achieve their goals and thrive once they experience financial security.
David is certified with Series 6, Series 63, Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses, as well as life and health insurance licenses. He obtained his CLU®, ChFC® designations and CFP® certification, and has employed two CFP® professionals on his team of staff.
David is a born and raised Angeleno. He currently resides in West Los Angeles with his wife, Dana, an attorney, and their two young daughters, Alexa and Elizabeth.
David is a zealous foodie and enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. He also enjoys fly fishing, gardening, and the great outdoors -- especially hanging out in the Sierras. David is loyal Dodger’s supporter and a rabid UCLA fan, which is his alma mater. He is still involved with the university, and sits on the board of UCLA’s UniCamp, the official student charity of UCLA.

Our Life Insurance Specialist guides individuals and businesses in the effective uses of life insurance to help manage risk and achieve a variety of financial security objectives.
Ian Freeman ranks in the top 60 in career production at Northwestern Mutual. He is one of only 40 financial representatives who have qualified each year since its inception for the Northwestern Mutual Forum, the company's highest level of acheivement. Ian is a qualifying and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Ian has also qualified for the National Quality Award 19 times since 1991, and 22 times since 1989 for the National Sales Achievement Award.
 
He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®),  Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Advisor fo Senior Living (CASL®) and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designations.
Ian Freeman recently served as the president of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Representatives Association, which is an organization of 12 financial representatives whose board represents over 7,500 financial representatives. It is dedicated to continuing the preeminent policyowner values historically provided by Northwestern Mutual. He is a member of the National Association of Independent Financial Advisors. Ian is a sought after, nationally and internationally known speaker who regularly gives both motivational and informational presentations on the financial services industry.

   Mike is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He joined Northwestern Mutual in 1998. Mike holds his Series 7, Series 66, Series 6, and Series 63 securities licenses, as well as life and health insurance licenses. He also obtained his CFP®, CLU®, and ChFC® designations.
Michael lives in Calabasas, California with his wife Carrie, daughter Peyton, and sons Ethan and Jacob. He has been a member of the Jonathan Club since 2005, and was previously a Junior Committee member.
In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling, golfing, and going to Los Angeles Dodger games.

Our Disability Income Specialist assists individuals and businesses design a disability income insurance program for both individual and group needs.
Paul started his career with Northwestern Mutual as a college intern in the fall of 1992. Once Paul graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Political Science in 1992, he continued to build his practice across the United States and has been a Wealth Management Advisor for over 26 years. He is a proud 8-time member of the Northwestern Mutual Forum.
Paul believes it is important to continually check in with your financial plan. The average couple spends less than 30 minutes per year discussing their financial plans together. Paul’s job is to make sure that the people he works with can review and update their plan regularly, with the assistance of an expert.
Paul has earned his CLU® and ChFC® designations which help him to approach his clients from a dynamic needs analysis or planning perspective.
Paul was born in Seattle, Washington and raised in Pasadena, California. Since 1996, Paul has been living in the South Bay, where he loves to enjoy the beach and play volleyball with his wife and two boys.
Paul is blessed to have a supportive family that allows him to spend time working on his business and doing what he loves. His wife Heather worked as an accountant before leaving the workforce to raise their two boys, Charlie and Crosby. Paul's family keeps him active and grounded, serving as a consistent reminder that the most important things in life are health and family.

Rebecca Bast resides in Odessa, Florida, with her husband John and their two children, John Thomas and Cally. Rebecca enjoys playing golf, shooting sporting clays, traveling, attending sporting events and being active in her community. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Rebecca understands the definition of financial security varies from family to family as well as from person to person. That's why she strives to truly understand her clients and works hard to build meaningful relationships with them. Suneel began his career as an accountant after earning a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California. After a few years at Ernst & Young LLP, he earned his MBA from the University of Virginia (Darden School). Suneel made the transition into financial planning after running a privately held firm as the CFO/COO for several years. In addition his knowledge of accounting and tax codes, Suneel also maintains the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation, which helps him approach clients from a dynamic planning analysis perspective.
Suneel lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Sharmila, along with their children, Kamran and Alia, and Old English sheepdog, Madison. He gives back to his alma maters by mentoring with the Career Advantage Program at USC and acting as President of the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter for the Darden School of Business (UVA). He is both a Trojan football and Dodger baseball fan and enjoys playing softball, riding his bike and playing golf in his free time.
